Chris Brady is a Certified Public Accountant and partner at Ward, Brady & Co. PLLC.

Chris is a 1989 graduate of North Carolina State University where he received BA degrees in Accounting, Economics and Business Management. He began his accounting career as a sales & use tax auditor with the NC Department of Revenue. He then worked for over ten (10) years at the Division of Medical Assistance (DMA) where his primary duties were the supervision of the annual audits of nursing facility and ICF/MR cost reports.

Chris also assisted with reimbursement and rate setting issues, home office and related party cost reporting, adult care home cost reporting and audit & rate appeals. After leaving DMA, Chris worked for over five years in public accounting as a financial and reimbursement consultant. His experience in public accounting has further enhanced his knowledge in the accounting needs of long-term care facilities and mental health providers.

Chris’s decade long experience at DMA and his six years of experience in public accounting have given him a strong understanding of the challenges faced by the long-term care and mental health industries. His extensive background in these industries combined with a strong commitment to client services make Chris a valuable asset to his clients.

Licensed since 1993 as a CPA, Chris has written various articles on long-term care financial matters. He is a member of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a member of the NC Assisted Living Association, NC Association of Long Term Care Facilities, NC Health Care Facilities Association, and NC Association of ICF/MR Providers.

Married with three children, Chris is a member at St. Paul’s Christian Church and a scout leader at Pack/Troop 353 in Raleigh. He enjoys spending his free time with his family.
